This page will act as an overview for the steps needed to fully migrate a user’s experience from a legacy ValleyInternet or PNC provided email to FastMail.
Only the first two of the four options below are required. The following steps are optional if a user wishes to migrate their existing content manually.
1. Alert ValleyInternet that you are prepared to migrate your email account to FastMail.
If you do not have a ticket open discussing this matter already, please open a ticket with ValleyInternet support and provide detail on your current email address. We will prepare your account and let you know when it’s ready for you to move on to step #2 below. (You can also use this ticket to ask any questions you have!)
2. Migrating account to FastMail with Automatic setup of email, calendar and contacts
This process will detail how to activate your account on FastMail’s service.
3. (Optional) Learning how to use FastMail
This page will direct you to FastMail’s new user guide, containing information on logging in via the web, learning the layout at a glance, reading and sending mail, managing your account, and more.
4. (Optional) Migrating old email, calendar, and/or contacts
The above page details how to move old or existing content (such as emails) from your current service to FastMail. (This is only available after the account has been successfully moved to FastMail as detailed in the above step #1.)
5. (Optional) Server settings for manually adding accounts
These settings are used to manually add a FastMail account to your device if you choose to skip the automatic configuration detailed in the above step #1.
